Track Your Job Search Activities

It’s important to keep your job search focused and hold yourself accountable to stay active.  One good way to do that is make two daily lists.  One list should track what activities you have completed that day (even if you’re taking the day off from your job search).  The second list should have 2-5 activities that you will do to push your job search forward.  These items can include calls to networking contacts, checking job boards, updating your LinkedIn profile, and going to job fairs.  While it’s important to keep records, you also need to be realistic.  Take a day off when needed to recharge your batteries.  That will give you the energy you need to keep working hard and keep score.
